Relationship Tips

1. We often choose people based on what was familiar to us in childhood. It is important to separate out what was familiar then, from what will work for us now.

2. Where there are two "Is," there is not a successful partnership. Thinking and working in a "We" context is essential in a relationship.

3. It is important to listen to and acknowledge a partner's feedback, instead of responding defensively.

4. A relationship, like a home, needs ongoing tending to and nurturing.

5. We attract at the level we are at. Notice who you are attracting in your life, and look at why you are attracting these relationships.

6. It is important for each partner to have a healthy support system outside the relationship.
