How Coaching Works

I work in partnership with you to help clarify and achieve your desired goals: career changes, fulfilling relationships, starting or growing your own business or coaching practice. As an International Coach Federation Certified Coach, our work together can count towards your eventual coaching certification during your certification process.

We will work together to appreciate and leverage your strengths, and minimize your challenges. Through brainstorming, values clarification, and in-depth questioning, you will become clearer about what you want, and create a step-by-step plan to obtain it. Coaching provides focus, accountability, and on-going support. I will encourage you to let go of the thoughts and habits that are draining your energy and keeping you from achieving your goals. You can enjoy success with less effort!

Being coached is the best way to experience the power of coaching. I offer a complimentary session so you will get a sense of the process, and how we could work together. We can meet in person in the Greater Boston area, or I work with clients throughout the world by phone.

I can also help you bring forth your creativity and gain financial recognition for your work. Coaching can help you move through your fears about success or failure, and navigate any obstacles that arise. You can learn to make informed decisions and make choices based on your true priorities and goals.

  • Set and achieve higher goals and income
  • Respond successfully to change
  • Be proactive during transition processes
  • Eliminate energy drains
  • Accelerate momentum towards a balanced and fulfilling life

Coaching Timetable
Most coaching tends to be short-term and goal-focused (three to six months). However, some people continue to use coaching for longer periods once their initial goals are met. Most coaching is contracted on a monthly basis, with the coach and client scheduling to talk three times per month. There may also be additional communication via e-mail and phone calls throughout the month.

Coaching Fees
Your initial forty five minute consultation is complimentary. We will clarify your goals, and you will get a sense of how coaching works and whether we are a "fit".

Individual
Monthly fees for individual coaching range from $550 to $650 per month, depending on the frequency and length of our coaching sessions. We will customize the optimal program for you.

Group
Group coaching is available for lower fees. I will negotiate fees with a new group or find an existing group for you to join.

Coach Mentoring

As a Professional Certified Coach I mentor other coaches who are beginning or growing their own practices. Our work together can count toward your certification as a Professional Coach through the International Coach Federation during the certification process.

Coaching Versus Therapy
Coaching and psychotherapy offer very different approaches. Therapy focuses on the past and primarily emotional issues. Coaching directly focuses on the present-- on what you specifically desire and how to get it. Coaching also looks at where you want to go, helps you eliminate what is in the way, and provides accountability and encouragement so that you can achieve your goals.
